Help ASAP! Sudden weak chicken with twisted neck.

Yes that is wry neck (torticolis,) but wry neck is a symptom. She looks severe, so try to get plenty of fluids and wet feed into her. Tube or crop feeding is also a way to do it if she won't take enough. Hopefully, it is not caused by Mareks disease, but theat can be one of the many causes. I'm sure that you will take care of her, and I hope she improves.

I seriously think she got pecked on the head really hard and her brain swelled up. Apparently it's a thing that can happen with crested breeds. My little hen is eating and drinking, and her head and neck is straight most of the time, but when she moves too fast, her head suddenly jerks to the side and she lets out this little squawk and then her neck is curled back under her until it either stops spasm-ing or I massage it gently and straighten it back out. Then she's fine again for awhile. I'll continue posting updates, but I am hopeful given the improvement from when I found her, that she should make a full recovery.

I just went threw this yesterday with a day early baby chick that was hatched with wry neck an swelling I made up that combination of vit ect from that site I posted earlier an it recovered very fast an is doing much better. I posted about it yesterday you can see the pictures. Have gave her any sort of treatment so far? And how is she now?

I've given her nutridrench and a small amount of baby aspirin per the vet's suggestion in case of inflammation, both mixed into her water.

I've noticed that she is okay as long as she moves slowly and isn't startled (my mom's puppy sneaked into the room I have the hen while I had my back turned and jumped against the crate. The hen immediately jumped backwards and her neck went all wrong again, swinging wildly, until I straightened her out). I'll continue to monitor the hen's condition. Thus far she seems to be improving, but the neck spasms are still alarming to see even if they are occurring less.

I would give the NutriDrench orally to make sure that she is getting an accurate dose of vitamin E, thiamine, and selenium. You can also use sunflower hearts, a little chopped beef liver, and chopped egg--only a small amount is needed daily for those. You can mix them, and keep a daily dose in the freezer.
