Help! Don't want to re-home the girls.

Nice looking "shed" out back. Do not invite them in the yard for a look. If the shed is under a certain size, 120 Sq Ft where I live you do not even need a permit for it.

How many do you have? How many allowed you said 3? 3 is a joke. I am in the county, on a half acre in the woods and only allowed 4 which also is a joke, I could have a dozen and not bother anyone.

We currently have 9. The coop was built for 9

If you know someone with a backyard, put the excess chicks there until the inspection.
If that won't work, I'm in eastpointe and have been thinking about taking that leap. Maybe I could take some off your hands.. Let me know...

OOPS .. I just saw the post dates and realize my blunder.... Ahh well.. How did everything work out? How much did the permit/license cost? Do you still have all your chickens? Being in the market and never owned chickens before, I have about 100 questions...

I'm sorry you might have to get re-home some of your girls especially if they meant that much to the people around them. At that point, I would probably hide them and pretend I got rid of them until another law was passed.
