Help I’m not sure if my chick is a rooster or a hen.

Hi!! I just created an account because I was wondering if my chick was a rooster or hen, he/she is very spazzy and chases me around like a little rooster. Her/hims legs are very big and it’s comb is getting red. He/she was born on January 1st and will be four weeks old next Tuesday, please if you have an idea on what gender he/she is leave a comment!! I have a feeling it’ll end up being a rooster with my luck, it’s dad is a big ol’ mean barred rock while the momma is a chill Easter Egger lol.

Looks like a little boy to me. A female won't have that much color in her comb until she matures.

Her/his legs are very big and it’s comb is getting red.

That will make me say cockerel...another couple weeks will confirm that.

That much comb development this young is a very good sign to be a cockerel. But 4 weeks is kinda young to say with 100% certainty.

I'd lean toward cockerel too, but give it a few more weeks to be sure.

I know you said it’s a mixed chick, but I think for barred rocks the dark color on the legs indicate female. That might not help in a mixed breed though.
