Help I killed Chuck?

I’m assuming that this is DEFINITELY a hoax because she hasn’t replied in months and I expect that this was her plan all along- to just let it sit until other news agencies get a hold of it and she becomes famous or something

Also she hasn’t been seen in awhile and she very well could have posted again since no doubt she’s getting notifications

Her last post was NOVEMBER 29. I assume she was just letting it sit and build up steam

It's weird though, b/c she seemed so earnest. I assumed some kind of honest mistake rather than a hoax (I tend to be a tiny bit of a sucker, though). I still would LOVE to hear a "Chuck" followup!

I don't think it was a hoax. Probably just a mistake and all of us make them, so no big deal. I hope she comes back and enjoys this wonderful community with us!

She's been on the forums and active in other threads so she is either purposefully ignoring this one or has stopped getting notifications or like someone suggested a different individual was playing a trick on her and she found out and wishes this would thread would die because she truly believed and feels foolish because someone played a joke on her.

I'm thinking she called the places she said she was going to call, was told there was no way it happened, like we all told her here, and then felt embarrassed and decided she wasn't going to come back and face up to being wrong.

It's happened before on a thread I was on - the OP kept insisting that they were right about something even when everyone else told them it was incorrect. They insisted they had sources to back it up and kept saying they were going to post them and prove us all wrong. Well, they never came back and posted those sources since they didn't exist. My guess is they went back, looked at their sources, realized they interpreted them wrong, got embarrassed, and didn't come back and own up to it. The same thing probably happened to the OP here.

She could have also had a joke played on her like I said before and is too embarrassed to come back and admit she was taken in. I've seen that on here too when a poster posted saying their two and a half month old pullets were laying and it turned out her husband was sneaking eggs into the coop and thought it was 'hilarious' that she posted on here and was embarrassed.

Either way, I don't think we're getting an update.

I just popped in to see if anything ever came of this. I was thinking the same thing.. she sounded so sincere in the first posts.. she's probably embarrassed, but if that was the case, personally, I would ask an admin if they could delete the thread.
