I am so sorry about your duck. Can you post any pictures of his wounds? Do you have any Vetericyn Wound Spray? That can be used on skin wounds and won’t hurt eyes. Terramycin Eye Ointment from the feedstore can also be used in the eyes twice a day. I would keep him quiet inside and help him drink and get food if he is alert enough. I will tag @isaac o for more advice.

thank you for such a quick reply! Once I was done it was getting a little darker out there, and harder to get a picture, but I did get a video, and took pictures in the video. These are the best I could get and was afraid I had him stressed to the max, so I let him rest a little. I will get better ones when I go back to check on him. He doesn't have any injury injuries so to say, but his beak looks really irritated along with really puffy eyes, and can't get his head clean. He won't eat (probably still scared and stressed), but he is drinking a lot. I will run to Tractor Supply real quick and see what they have.

Sorry for the circumstances. I would make sure that he is not hypothermic and apply antibiotic ointment to his eyes.

My gut is that he is going to be okay, and that his eyes will be fine. The next problem will likely be with the other drakes as they may feel that they have deposed him from top billing. Closely monitor reintroduction.

I'm hoping so, but today he is already doing better than last night. Looks rough, but acting much more like himself. I will continue to watch and separate to make sure he is 100% before being left alone out there with them. Thanks for the help!

If they are continually acting him, it would be best to move him into an area where they can see each other, but can't touch. That is a temporary solution - if the fighting persists, environmental, or flock changes will need to be made.

thank you! This is rare behavior for my Khakis they have been in the flock for almost a year and have always accepted him as dominant. They aren't even food aggressive, but today they are being bullies! I have a separator for their indoor part of their coop. Thanks for the advice!
