They were going together to huddle they might have been a bit cold but I watched them after I woke them up and all but the one seemed normal. I don't mean piling up like they were really cold I just meant that they were going together to sleep. I thought that was normal. I don't have a pic of them from when that happened but here's a pic that's similar to what they were doing but there aren't as many quail chicks. It was one chick that died at the edge of the pile that was under the heat lamp. I'm sorry if that's confusing I'm not the best at explaining things.I'm confused? You say one died under the heat lamp! Indicating it most likely died of heat exhaustion? The other you say was on the edge of the pile of chicks, indicating the temp was to low....if they are piling up!
It doesn't take long for a chick to become chilled or to have heat exhaustion.
