Help me settle a debate with my husband!

We all need to remember that for every hen hatched there is also a rooster hatched...that is how the percentages work out. 50% hens and 50% roosters. Eventhough you have had good luck with your small feed store chicks...they are also most likely coming from a hatchery perhaps even the same one that TS uses. Unless you get sex linked chicks its a crap shoot. By the way sex linked means that they are (please see this article below)

:D

Thanks everyone! I was able to find a new home for them this past Saturday. We did keep our little Bantam roosters. My daughter loves them.
Now to find some laying hens to add to my small flock.

Could anyone tell me what breed this little guy is?
400

They sure look like roosters. And handsome ones at that. I'm sure you are disappointed though. What do you do with them once you've gotten attached to them? Put 'em in the freezer? I have 2 roosters that came from the same hatch. I had 3 and gave one away, but can't seem to get rid of the other. One is more than I really want. So he's not completely safe. The eggs are so much nicer when there isn't a Rooster to mess things up.

I love to hear him crow.....his only defense to being ousted.

Poor guy.

I was able to find a home for my RIR roosters. My daughter is attached to the little guys in the picture above. So we are keeping them. I was just wondering if anyone knew what breed they are.
