Help! I am completely new here, but reading forums on this site throughout my incubation period was the only reason these babies all made it. So I'm reaching out for help. I had 4 goslings hatch on Wednesday. One egg did not hatch until TODAY! I waited and waited and finally it hatched. My problem is, the first hatched goslings are being quite mean to the brand new one..... they are pulling at his still wet "feathers" VERY hard and pull him over and just dont seem accepting of the poor little guy at all :hit I put the newest hatch into a shoe box of it's own inside large box they all will be sharing to keep him away from the 3 day olds for the night..... will this continue? should I be worried? Is there anything I can do? It breaks my heart. He looks SO small compared to them, and they're still new and small themselves. Any help is very appreciated. I'm so new to all of this and panicking at midnight.

I would keep an eye on him, and if this continues to the point where they are hurting him, I would keep them apart, but still have them see each other, without being able to hurt one another. Good luck!!!

Thank you for your response. I woke up this morning and decided to pick up the new little guy, and one of its older siblings, put them both on my chest to relax and they got along fine. Put them back in their box, they started ganging up on the new one again. New one is hanging out with me right now, currently sleeping and making tiny whistle noises:love hopefully they grow accepting soon once he fluffs up and gets strength

Awww that's it's so cute when they sleep🥰. Hope they will get along eventually! Keep us updated on aything we can help with!

They are the BEST of friends now. Thank goodness! The little guy just follows his older siblings around and is learning things much faster than the others did (guess he has been watching his older siblings very closely) They all snuggle together, run together, and play together. Only took 4 long days for them to accept him. I'm a happy goose momma now
