He had a link in his signature. You will see this more at night on here although the mods are great at getting rid of them. Just hit report if you see it.

But you have a link in your signature, I don't understand how you can know it was a spammer by that. I don't recall coming across one of them but then again, I could have and not even know it...

My link is chicken related and I have been an active member for a while. Spammers will be new and have a link like jewelery dot com (I made that up and spelled it out to prevent forming a link). Most of these spammers do not speak English so the posts will just seem odd.

One of my Splash silkies did this the first two days after shipping from the hatchery. We gave her sugar water and now she's a totally normal two and a half month old bird. She was also blowing a bubble from her nose when she flipped over! Whatever it was she got over it with sugar water and didn't even stay sick long enough for us to call a vet or anything else. I didn't read how long this has lasted or how you've treated it because I wanted to post my experience and what I did. Some people thought pneumonia and some thought brain damage but while I can't attest to her intelligence, she's no less smart than the other chickens and not undersized or weak at all.

After only getting 4 hours of sleep I went to check on the little guy this morning and sure enough he was back on his back.. he doesn't seem to be getting better but he doesn't seem to be getting worst. He surely likes to drink b2 mixed with water though..

You will probably slap me but we did a good big pinch or two--probably no less than half a teaspoon--in a little crock of water, probably a cup. After sh improved a bit we returned her to general population--with the others--and gave them about a teaspoon of sugar in their quart-sized waterers. I don't know how but it did her a lot of good. Maybe she just needed energy to get enough food and water to finish developing? Also, is your chick alone or with others? Are they allowing him to eat and drink enough?

He was hatched with 3 others from my incubator, he is with the other three. I have not seen any of them eat or drink yet. They will be 2 days old this evening at around 6 or 7. I have tried to inspire them to eat by making the clucking noise that mother hens do and taking my finger and poking at the food. Right now I wasn't too worried about them eating because I know since they have absorbed there yolks they are good to go for at least 3 days. I know it's unsually to see that they have not gotten an interest yet because my past chicks as soon as they got out of the shell, they were pecking at everything. But these guys aren't doing that... at least not yet. I'm sure they will show an interest soon. They seem to want to sleep alot right now.. ha haha.

Did you try dipping their beaks in the water? Sometimes sprinkling food and making it look like it's moving can activate their chase instinct. Ours always dive-bombed sprinkled food.
