Help: Peachick with swollen face! ?

Yeah, that gets into the whole "we can't medicate a bird we haven't treated" discussion... dunno if this is that kind of vet, or a sensible country vet, it could be worth a phone call, but I wouldn't get too optimistic

it being an exotic animal vet I'm betting they won't and the cost..nah..now I just wonder if they are willing to even instruct on how to convert if I bought the pill form.

I think by law they should have written mg per ml on the label (mg/ml). If they can/will answer either question we can figure out what dose they want your hen to have.

Here is some Baytril dosing info:
LL

These are amounts my vets have told me to use:
  • 10mg/kg twice a day for no more than five days.
  • 15 mg/kg once a day for no more than five days.
  • 20mg/kg once a day for no more than five days.

Lately I've been giving 20mg/kg once a day because I'm too lazy to do the twice a day treatment.

And I don't want to borrow trouble, but at this point, it might be wise to have the Baytril on hand at the house... Hoping

nobody else gets this, but best insurance is to have it on hand... Then hopefully you won't need it
