Help please!!

I was glad someone was on here that could help...I haven't been a member long but have had ducks n chickens for years and used the site for info many times and finally joined few months back. This is a wonderful place with great people always ready to lend a hand.
Everyone has been so great! Put my daughter and mostly me at ease. Now on to the ducks! LOL! It's their turn to start hatching.

Btw, I have 1 more chick that hasn't pipped at all... think it's a goner?

Hey guys, gonna take the chicks to their new homes today and tomorrow. Should I take out the duck eggs and clean out the incubator and put the duck eggs back in a clean incubator??

Also, my last chicken egg hasn't hatched or pipped. It's day 25. Do you think it's bad?

is it day 25 for the ducks also? If so, and as long as there are no pips in the duck eggs, it won't hurt them to be out for a quick time, if you want to wipe it out. But just use water, no kind of cleaner, since the duck eggs need to go right back in. Candle that last chicken egg and look for veins or movement, but it likely is a late quitter.

and get some pics before you hand the babies off :)

I wouldn't worry too much about the pipped at wrong end one. It will either be strong enough to hatch or it won't. Not much you can do about. And the hatched chick isn't really going to be the cause of a serious issue. The few times I've had a wrong end pip not hatch, it was due to the chick either pipping right through the unabsorbed yolk or into a vessel. In those cases, the chick died within less than an hour from pipping. The vast majority of the time, they hatch just fine. Helping usually does more harm than good. And taking a chick out of the incubator before it's fluffed up can cause it to chill. I keep at least one hatched chick in the incubator when there are other eggs pipped. You have no idea how that lone chick will encourage the others to hatch.

Just sent the 3 off to their new home. Cuties are in good hands. Have another one hatching now!

Well the 4th is kinda struggling to hatch. It's going on 22 hours. I see the beak breathing, the crack is pretty huge. But who knows? Not sure if it's because the other 3's mama came to take them to their new home... I think the last one is a dud. Gonna give it one more night and then tossing it. The smell in the incubator is bad. Threw out the hatched eggs. I hope all this movement doesn't affect the ducks hatching...
