I recently bought a 3 week old white sussex chick. When I first got her, I immediately put her in the brooder. note: she is on her own. Whenever I go somewhere, she starts yelping really loudly and then when I come back, she stops. Sometimes I get worried she is dying because of her loud chirps (which never end). She hates being in the dark and when ever shes on my lap, she jumps up on my neck and snuggles next to my neck and hair. I’m worried about her warmth as she is very resistant to the brooder. She never wants to go to sleep and chirps for at least 15 minutes before she gets anywhere near tired. Please help! I need to do things without her on my lap!!
