I am almost positive I am dealing with tapeworms. My chickens have been pooping out rice like segments in their poop & if watched closely they wiggle. I just finished 5 days of daily safeguard paste yesterday. My girls, 2 especially have lost weight, the other 3 just aren't growing. I don't think but 2 would over 2lbs. So today yesterday i didn't see anymore but today I just saw one with the rice stuff again. Do I need to do a 6th or 7th daily dose? They were babies in Feb. The white "segments" are hard to see bacause one of them walked on it.🙄

For Tapeworms you need to treat with Praziquantel. Safeguard (Fenbendazole) will treat most all other worms.
Dosing and products you can use are in the link:

It would be better if you purchased Equimax equine paste at your local feed store and orally dose your birds 0.03ml per pound of weight, or 0.15ml for a 5 pound bird.
When it comes to tapeworms, you only need to dose chickens that are showing segments in feces.
Insects are the host for tapeworms, chickens eat insects and get infected.
Keep in mind that not all insects are hosts for tapeworms.

Got that exact paste. So it's daily dose for 5 days then repeat?
