HELP!

Please help!! There were rats in the barn where our chicks were so about three weeks ago we moved them to a coop behind the barn. It’s raised 3 feet and has relatively tight wire, but I was mortified to go out this morning to find a giant rat snake had eaten my three favorites! I was devastated, what Can I do to prevent any more snakes from preying on my poor birds?!
(The picture is of the snake. We cut its head off as soon as we got it out of the coop)

x2. It might be expensive, depending on the size of your coop, but hardware cloth is the way to go!

No openings larger than 1/2" diameter, anywhere. That means hardware cloth all the way. So sorry for your loss! Mary
