my chickens are around 19 weeks old and my smallest one is acting weird, she is sort of moping around and her face is pale her tail feathers are drooping slightly and she isn't acting normal like the other chickens. i read it could be worms but i don't know and i need to figure it out A.S.A.P because i don't know if it can kill her or not and I'm extremely attached to my girls.

please anything will help.

Does she seem more sleepy and lethergic? It could possibly be coccidosis. Cocci can be present without having bloody poo.it just depends on the strain of cocci. Corid or amprolium kills all 9 strains of cocci. Take a look online at coccidosis and keep in mind NOT.all cases of cocci have bloody poo present. If you agree it could possibly be cocci then I would start treatment with corid. Hope this helps and best wishes.

Some things you can do are: Check the crop for fullness or impacted crop (it should be empty first thing in the morning.)
Look for lice eggs or mite dust on base of feathers near the vent
Look at her droppings (easiest if confined to a crate overnight.)
Make sure she has plenty of shade and cool water; shallow pans of water to step in are good.

My rooster started acting droopy, and even let my duck whoop up on him. I had a friend tell me to give them garlic, it acts as a natural antibiotic. I did and it worked!! She told me to feed it to them, but I couldn't get my chickens to eat garlic. So I added it to their water instead. All of my chickens are looking better! I've been giving them fresh water daily and adding garlic for the last three days.

I live in Virginia and the whether the past couple of days has been hot but if turned the fan on, opened the windows and put a lid with cold water in it (which they get in a lot.) and also put ice in their water. Yes she it eating and drinking. and earlier she seemed sleepy and just plain out of it, i gave the others a treat and she acted as if it wasn't their (not good) i'v noticed her acting like this for a few days but didn't think anything of it till today, thought she was just going through a spell.sometimes they all act like this after laying an egg, so i thought that's what it was, but I've been down at the coop with her all morning and she seems to be fine now... WHAT!?!?
