HELP!

I found several of my chicks traumatized & missing most of their tail feathers!! I did not see any dogs or such come into the yard but the incident occurred during afternoon hours! After seeing feathers float by the office window I went looking for the girls. Sad to say I found 3 dead but not eaten and 3 others missing in action.
Would a dog do that much damage in a couple of hours??? Unfortunately the girls are (were) not scared of dogs because we have such a sweet, sweet older lab which they lay with in the fenced yard.

Can young chicks die from fear??

A dog could do that much damage in a matter of minutes. I am so sorry for your losses.
