20170808_184843.jpg My coop now has 4 walls framed up! Made a mistake on wall #3, 4 inches too tall but will fix that. At least it wasn't too short. I was so busy worrying about angles i overlooked the height. Live and learn.

I bought the porter cable drill and driver combo at Lowe's. Get the ones with the red battery. I was told, they hold up better than the black batteries. I paid $149 on sale. They have had a lot of use and still are going strong.

Wipes tool drool off chin.

Li-Ion batts are the bomb, compared to the older style(not sure what they were), they charge up in like 15 minutes.

Some o 20170809_160738.jpg f you compained about removing the spiral nails being difficult to remove, so i thought i would mention how i do it. Pound the tip of the nail through the board so you can get at the stem of the nail. Then, instead of pulling on the head of the nail put the forked end on the nail and bend the nail sideways. Keep adjusting the hammer down and twisting sideways. The nail will bend around and then pull out. Easier than using the head to pull it out.

that's a professional set painter's trick, we always did that, especially when the slop sink was half a mile away. ;-)
I don't know how many people know this little trick, but i use it a lot. When you have to interrupt your painting session, just pop your brush into a plastic sandwich bag and wrap it around snugly. I have kept paint brushes fresh for up to two weeks this way. Beats using a lot of water to rinse them out each time.

It's looking fabulous so far! And what a great idea to use shower doors for skylights!

Bought more paint today, Sherman Williams sells mistint paint for $5 a gallon! Got some free pallets, skids and a free gallon of paint i had a coupon for. I found 2 shower doors i am going to use as skylights. Now i just have to wait for good weather.
