Hen (Big Mama) acting so strange, heart breaking.

Maybe me? You said they plant their butt when broody but move around when needing to use bathroom, food, or water. None of that is really relevant, one she passes waste fine, and they always have plenty of food and water so she wouldn’t want for that. Am i wrong with how i took it??

Heading home now. Had to leave for a bit. I will update when i get home. She’s been sitting in the boxes since 45 mins before we left with no noise (which is unusual, she is normally a very noisy layer)

Right, but like above said they seem to act crazy when the hormones hit, but regardless just wanted to make sure she wasn’t dying basically. She paced the top of the coop for 30 mins with an unusual cluck and then went crazy inside of the coop and then has been sitting quietly in the coop since then, she’s now been in the nesting box for 3 hours quiet. Who knows i guess I’ll just keep an extra eye out for her over the next few days.
