Hen Injured by Hawk

I do, I have applied some triple a and she’s now back to her blankets and sleeping. No wrap, I cut more feathers and flushed her once more as well.
Sounds good.
Let her get some rest - You too! and give us an update in the morning.

I wouldn’t use bactine either, since it contains a pain reliever, benzocaine, which is not good to use in chickens. As long as there is no signs of infection, plain old saline can be good to blot the wound with, and keep it moist with plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment twice a day.

Here are some more pictures from today. Winnie is not the happiest, but she did well getting it cleaned out and she’s still eating and drinking.

She is also a little bit stuffed up. Could that be from stress and pain? Or should I consult a vet?

What do you mean "stuffed up"? Specifics would be good.
She sounds like she could be congested. Because of that I’m taking her to the vet just for a check up. She’s breathing as if she needed to blow her nose if she was human.

What type of bedding is on? Does she have any hissing noises around her wound? Is there anything that could be affecting her breathing? Chickens have air sacs located throughout the body, and sometimes one may be punctured. How full is her crop? Could she have a full or puffy crop, where she might be regurgitating liquid back up into her throat. Make sure that her nostrils are clean and open. Are there any nasal or eye secretions? It is great that you can see a vet. Let us know what you learn.
