Hen or rooster? Breed? 🌀🤨

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me figure this out!! I’m looking to adopt another hen from my local shelter. This bird was listed as a hen on the website and they said was returned to the shelter for being a rooster with no other explanation. I went to go take a look at her/him and still can’t tell. Super tiny and sweet. Looks like maybe a bantam Cochin, I don’t know the age.

Would really like to take this little bird home but I’m specifically looking to add more hens for my silkie roo.
Any thoughts?

Your rooster would not like it as this is a male.

Good for you for wanting to rehome from a rescue centre though. I imagine you'll get mostly cockerels and ex battery hens there, but it's a good thing to do.
