Would maraks cause lethargic behavior and feather loss on her back?

I am freaking out more with babies going out soon. Plus we just found 2 nice under the coop in a hole! Ugh! I’m so over winter! I’m going to plant mint around the coop soon. The wry neck is making me more paranoid. I really thought it was mites...

Green droppings are a sign of not eating enough. I wouldn’t worry too much until after you get the necropsy report back. There can be a lot of different illnesses in chickens. If it should be Mareks, there is not a lot you can do, but I would do a lot of reading about Mareks disease. Others here on BYC deal with it in their flocks, and still hatch chicks and have flocks who thrive. Some chickens get the disease while some do not. There is a vaccine that you can give to day old chicks, and try to keep them from contaminated areas for 2-3 weeks until they develop immunity.

So the vet called me from the necropsy this afternoon and told me she died from egg yolk periodontist but no sign of Mareks thank God! She will be letting me know more if she finds anything else but right now it was a ruptured egg in her. She said there was nothing I could have done to save her but I still feel horrid!
