In the Brooder
On Sunday while were gathering the flock for wing clipping and nail checks we found one of hens that was stuck in a pallet. We don't know how long she was there. Her head was between the pallet and a fence. so was restrained by her neck. I took her to the vet yesterday she was was mostly lifeless when we found her. Vet took an x-ray and she has one broken wing and her neck vertebrae are stretched and curved. Nothing looks broken. They gave me meds for. She is eating and picking up her head and looking around but not attempting to get up at all. I get good response from the left foot but not much from the right. Is it ok to let her lay for so long? A fiend said if she doesn't get up soon I guess she never will?? Any advice greatly appreciated.
