Actually if they are dark eggs I think that is what they might look like if they are developing...do you have any that look different? Can you see any veins at all or are the shells too dark?
OMG, OMG, yes they are developing! What a huge reliefwe studied them this morning, and we eye spied some embryos MOVING, whoo hoo! We didn't kill them after all. Only three out of eight are going (shipped eggs though). So right now I'm on cloud nine.

tomorrow is hatch day for me. I am not feeling good anymore... I feel like I upped the humidity too high the first 2 days of lock down and too low during the first 18 days. Fingers crossed I get a few chicks. I have a broody who needs babies and she is going to sit on plastic eggs until she is a momma...

This reminds me of pregnancy. It was 10% joy and 90% horrendous stress. I would be worried up until an OB appointment, feel great for a couple of days then start getting stressed and worried waiting for the next appointment.
With eggs, it feels almost the same. Such highs and lows with this. Remind me, this is supposed to be fun right?I can see all of us, fretting over these eggs, wringing our hands and pulling out hair one minute and jumping for joy the next.
I received them in the mail on August 30th and placed them under my hen at that time. So you tell me what day you think they are...as I said this is my first...I KNOW NOTHING, HAHAHAHA Thanks Roxanne!!!
The first hatch was the worse for me. Looking in the bator every hour, even though you know nothing is going to change. Checking temp and humidity constantly. As you do a few more hatches it does get less stressful (except for the last few days...lol.)This reminds me of pregnancy. It was 10% joy and 90% horrendous stress.
