HERE WE GO AGAIN Anyone SETTING Aug 30th - Sept 8th join me!!

there is also another person on this thread hatching her eggs too.

I got EE OE and super blue layers. I set 3 SBL under my broody, I really hope those hatch...

I have Cuckoo Marans, BCM, OE, Am and SBL - sooooooo excited for the SBL's and, surprisingly, the cuckoo - boy they lay HUGE eggs. The video I took earlier on in this thread was one of the SBL's :D. I have 5/6 SBL's growing at the moment - yooohoooo!!! Sooo excited to see what hatches for you! Keep us posted!

I go into lock down Wed!! So excited. These are DMRippy eggs.

So far. DMRippy and Illia eggs have done the best... For shipped eggs. I think I am going to hatch out quite a few... fingers crossed. I did the dry method in my new genesis this time... So we shall see.

trying to incubate eggs is not very fun right now. I am so aggravated! Got up this morning to the temp at 97, got it stabalized at 100 and left for work. Came home to it 104 just now! I'm sure we've lost these eggs.

This has not been a kind first attempt. I was so excited when I candled and got 3 to 4 of 8 with growth at 4 days. We have been having such trouble with temps, but none this bad. I guess the thermostat is shot in this old Little Giant I borrowed. It was fine for over a week until I put eggs in it.

I have heard people say that their has gone to 104 and they still had a hatch. Don't give up. I have a LG also and I have it set at 100 and every night it goes to 99. Since I am running my hatch dry and I keep both of the red plugs out, I am going to put them in at night to see if the temp will stay at 100 over night. Maybe you can do the same. Stabilize you daytime temp with the red plugs out. Then put them in at night to keep you temperature up. Worth a try.

Oh, plus I put 4 heat sinks in my LG. That is just 4 jars of water with the lids on. One in each corner. It just holds heat in during the cool night time hours. I would imagine you night temps are about the same as mine since I am just east of Orlando. God Bless your eggs!

I am not tossing them out yet. Thanks for the hope. The stress of this is killing me.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Sorrrreeeeeee!!! I have been using my Little Giant with little to no probs over the last couple years and this hatch has almost been an hourly temp watch. I've gone on lock down now because of it (and I'm only day 7!!!) Don't give up yet - once I thoroughly cooked a whole pile of guinea eggs (way over 104 for an age .... it was one of our first hatchings and we had put a pile of water in for humidity and it completely messed our temps for Lord knows how long) ..... needless to say we had 3 hatch ... the strongest surely did survive :). So don't give up, but do watch that little giant and try very very very small, incremental changes to temp and wait a couple of hours for it to stabilise!!!

You GO GIRL!!!! You make me think I can DO THIS!!! DH just doesn't get to the "honey do list" very often, and I think I have everything you have shown. Hmmmmmm! If I can round them all up! Is that aluminum foil for the reflection material?

Yes it is aluminum foil. I went to Youtube to watch a video on how to wire the lamp receptacle. Very easy to do but there is a certain way to do it.
