Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Hill, Celtic has excellent African eggs. Erin has utility Toulouse eggs. Both of these ladies are regulars on this thread. Plus, I know another ebay seller that I would recommend for Toulouse. What type of geese are you wanting to hatch?

hllhola,

Depends on what breed you are looking for. Southern and western breeders are in full swing with eggs. Northern breeders are just rolling into breeding season as the temps warm and they head into spring.

What breed do you want?
What quality are ou looking for?
Where are you located?

Morning everyone else. Waiting for more boxes to arrive with eggs, collected a hidden nest from the lilac Sebbie goose last night, and rolling into lock down again on a couple of early eggs.

The African goose started laying again, she seemed to have gone on strike with my collecting her eggs and the storm that came through recently.

All 3 grey saddleback Pomeranian eggs are growing! The seller never continued communication on the 3 out of 6 broken eggs. It's ok though, MrsMagoo will be sending us out Buff SB Pom eggs soon. We also have a set coming from another breeder she reccomended.

Out of the 10 local buff American eggs set 9 were fertile. We have a local order for these, so very happy to get such good growth out of them.

Our feed store that delivers to us has an order for ducklings and goslings this spring with us. Trying to not give them the typical birds you find at most feed stores in the spring that are ordered from hatcheries.

Iain, remember with these new Toulouse eggs coming tomorrow we shouldn't see buffs hatch, but should get males split for buff. The best thing would be to hatch a set, and breed the split back to mom to throw buffs. (Pete did I get that right?) lol been staring at the genetics charts.

Oh and Pete, I had the buff chart saved, but I know you did the same for other colors and can't find them.

Iain... Sierra's email address is [email protected]. just a reminder, she's the one with buff dewlap eggs @$35 each. I'm pretty sure she still has pics on her site, but she'll send more if you ask. She probably doesn't get on here much anymore because of school.

Now, if we could all just get Pete to send us some eggs, we'd REALLY be in business!! Too bad he's way over yonderrr in the UK!

Celtic, while the % is super low, if we get an egg from her gander with buff genes.... couldn't we get a buff baby?

Oh.. and good morning...

animal, thanks again for the info! I will email her directly. Yep, I have done my research and appreciate the market value now for these eggs. If I could get 1-2 to hatch from 4 eggs.... it would be worth it, though.
