Hi Marty! Been a busy day! I had 6 chicks hatch, still waiting on that last one to finish zipping. Although fun, chicken eggs aren't near as exciting as goose eggs. Nor are the babies that are hatched from them. Still cute and cuddly, but goslings are just

I currently have 12 bcm in the bator. I candled and it looks as though all are developing, but they are so dark I can't say for sure. I can say they are darker than when first set and candled.

Glad to hear your's are coming along well! You're going to be busy! I tossed my erin eggs. When I opened them I found only 1 of the 3 was fertile anyways. That was the one in the worst shape too so the odds were realy stacked against me having a giant toulouse from her

I'm debating on whether or not to set the 7 (just found 2 more in the nest) eggs I have from Lucinda, or if I should put them in the nest and hope she will start sitting.

I don't have any goose eggs cooking right now, and it kinda stinks. I really enjoy it. I feel like a kid the day after Christmas, there's new toys to play with, but the excitement and anticipation is gone. I wanted to get some eggs from Carole, but never could connect with her. So I'm going to get a pair from Iain after she hatches them off. Very excited!

She is having a great special on gray dewlap toulouse just now. 4 eggs for $50 on ebay. I'd do it, her fertility is good. At day 5 I had 3 of 5 eggs making spiders.

She has like 12 hours left of the sale. I'd go for it, seriously! I actually bought 4 buffs there, and she sent me 11 eggs total. (This may not happen to you, but she has label troubles..... Lost track, and shipped 4 buffs with extras twice, two days in a row I got boxes of eggs!!!)

I've got 5 mixed goose eggs due on Sunday.... 4 have started dipped so I have stopped turning 1 looks like it's going to be a day or day and half behind the others.
7 Embdens due on the 1 st of May
and Erins eggs.... no spiders yet but mine are a day behind yours 3 of the yokes are darking so i hope to see something. This is the first time we've done shipped eggs so I looked up Pete's post on detached aircells and have been following it.

Still concidering turkeys... but Julie says she has extras and she's close.

I heard that! Thankfully my dh lets me handle my hatching and everything and only helps when I ask. He's helped put together incubators, turn eggs, sit up with me watching my first hatch, and going and getting things I need when I have my hands full with a new baby, etc. He teases and calls me the beast-master!

I would have been nuts if it weren't for the help I got from here, that's for sure!

Holy moly you're going to have a lot of buffs! I'm jealous!

Oh, I hope I get a lot of buffs. It would be super awesome to end up with 5 or 6 babies, so I'll know I'll have a flock!!! Then, in the fall when Celtic sendd me my pair of sebs and a trio of muscoveys, my joy will be complete. Of course, I'm allready up to my arse in baby ducks. Gonna start selling them soon. (and eating a few)

Dang. Well I'm getting a pair from Iain after hers hatch. But it is awful tempting to get some more eggs....
I'm so disappointed I won't be hatching along with you guys now since my erin eggs were no good. That would have been fun!
