Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Ok Sue,

I use 2.5 gal buckets to carry the feed in so I can mix multiple batches and load the yard cart taking all the feed at once. We have 2 lb size maxwell house coffee cans (plastic) as scoops in each feed barrel.

Geese get:
1.5 scoops of Mazuri
0.5 scoop of Purina Omega 3 layer
1.0 scoop of whole oats
1.0 scoop of BOSS

Hand mix to blend together. The geese are fed in smallest black rubber livestock pans. Each is filled most of the way full with this mixture. We do have one pair who won't eat BOSS, they get millet seed.

The above is the breeding season mixture, they all come running when they see us pulling the feed cart. Even with all of the grass they could want. Since we don't get severe cold temps here I don't feed corn, cracked or otherwise. They get red wheat in the fall and winter though. (October-January) its just mainly to prevent boredom as they have grass/pasture year round so we don't go through as much feed as others might when the grass goes dormant.

Our ducks don't like oats, so they get Mazuri, Layer, BOSS

The ornamental ducks get game bird, oats and scratch. They love the seeds in the scratch blend. We also lay rotting logs in their aviary and move them around once a week to expose bugs.

I just turned down 40 goose eggs.

...they are in nests by my neighbors pond from wild canadian geese that stay on his place most of the time.

..his Dog protects them along with his livestock so I told him to leave them and let their momma's hatch them.

what were they thinking???

Little buff baby has taken a bad turn. I tried to get him to eat... and maybe got a few crumbs of yolk mixed in with the water into him. He feels weaker. And when I did my last check on him, I found him a ways away from his sleeping area by the water bowl, laying on his back and not trying to get up. I thought he may have been dead.... but no, just too weak. He has not been on his back before. I got him to drink a sip of poly/sugar water and put him back in his sleeping area. I put a clean towel down to see if he will make fresh poop marks, as there was no evidence of poop on his butt.

I'm losing hope here.
