Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

103 female - mother Pandora - father Ricky
112 male - mother Chloe - father McGraw
Pandora and Chloe are two of our Pips&Peeps girls they are both curly, they are both visually white but both can throw colored goslings
Ricky is a curly white gander
McGraw is a curly grey gander
Will have to pull their official hatch dates off the laptop.

Well, do I still get 103 and 112 along with two others, or have you had to repick for me? Can't wait for those pics.....

I took some shots of my young geese that were hatched in January and February along with their parents. From the looks of things, I have two geese and two ganders. The youngest is just losing the last of her baby fuzz, and may not be marked very well

. The oldest is a goose and marked nearly identical to her mother.

The goslings on their way to the pond to meet their parents.....Caboosh, Tucker, Tex, and Donut.....

Caboosh and her parents John and Jean this afternoon......

Cool, I can't remember if you set yours before or after me... and mine enter day 21 in the morning. :)

I don't remember, Iain. I'll check.

Hey MaGoo, "MaGoo" was my nick name as a child, since I wore such think glasses since I was 3 or 4. :D

We call my husband MaGoo because of the way he drives: We all swear he must be blind....lol. Sorry to hear about the big old glasses, what a pain. My poor DH has terribly thick lenses in his current pair, but mostly wears contacts. :)

Oh and Iain....thanks for the kind words. Marked well or not they are my kids. However, I am going to try to separate and breed them according to the SOP. If all goes well I am going to establish both pet quality and show quality flocks. I have two ponds and two houses already set up and fenced off. For now, I leave the gates open, but after I divide them everybody is going to stay in their own pond and field.

I also have one that is about 2-3 weeks old in my brooder from Kawonu's eggs along with a pair of utility Toulouse and some Cayuga, Khaki Campbell, Welsh Harlequinn, and gray runner ducklings. Fingers are crossed that I get at least 3 of Kawonus newest Pom eggs in the incubator to hatch: I need unrelated mates for my gaggle of geese!

Jerry, I swear you are a goose hatching fool!

Magoo, I understand. I am doing the same thing with my ancona and cayuga ducks. Plan to have a community flock on one part of property and my breeding quality stock in separate penned area. They are all sweet things even if they do not measure up to a written list of appearance standards.
