Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Tonight is broccoli/cheddar soup with breadsticks. There is *gasp* no meat whatsoever in the soup--no ham, no bacon, nothing. I'm standing firm this time! There will be bratwurst on the side for the carnivores, though.

Sometimes my husband will cook. I come to the table and there is a platter piled high with grilled meat. ...and that's it. plates and forks. Real mean do not even use those.

That's funny--my honey does the same thing! He grills meat--and to him, that's "cooking dinner". Makes me wonder why I'm going through all this effort?

Hey, that's my job as the male cook.

Tonight we had left over 'Monday night pasta.'

Tonight was just honey and I, as the boys are at a church thing. I sauteed shrimp in butter, onion and garlic, cooked some cheese ravioli, mixed them together in a cheesy Alfredo sauce with chopped spinach and served with garlic bread. I love garlic. And cheese. And shrimp. Oh, and bread with butter and garlic. I'm a happy girl tonight!

Tonight I will make leftover stew with biscuits. It will taste twice as good tonight.

Some things are just better the next day--stew, soup and lasagna off the top of my head.

Tonight we'll have zucchini casserole and maybe breadsticks.

Tonight we're going out to dinner for a friend's birthday. The kiddos will be eating Subway.
