Turkey breast today. Not sure what will go with it yet. DW thawed it yesterday, but we ended up cleaning our the garage and dismantling my old work bench until 5pm, so it was Popeye's for dinner yesterday.

Pizza tonight! I started the dough for the crust this morning.

Manicotti, a salad and 'Country French' bread from Costco.

On a budget here... All bills paid but more coming next week. I need to dive into the freezer and pull something out. I have a bunch of butternut squash (from last year's garden) still to eat. I might whip up a pumpkin pie with frozen puree I have (from last year's garden). I also have potatoes (form last year's garden) I need to eat or they'll become seed potatoes for the garden this year because they are sprouting in the pantry.

There seems to be two themes for tonight's dinner at least: cheap and from the garden.

There seems to be two themes for tonight's dinner at least: cheap and from the garden.

Waste not, want not. I'm cooking a big batch of stuffed cabbage. Probably around 8 meals worth. Tonight we will have stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes and leftover green beans.

Well scratch that. Ended up making enchiladas with some steak that's been in the freezer for a while. Rice and beans in the side. At least I an using up the steak before it got freezer burnt.

Going to bake an extra thick steak that I have marinated with balsamic vinaigrette and Rosemary, baked sweet potatoes and creamed spinach plus coleslaw.
