Alrighty swampducks... please, please ...let's have the recipe for the "blueberry sour cream cake"

I had another "just feed us" dinner ...bbq'd chicken in a foil pouch (in the oven ...how shameful!) ..baked tater (cuz I only had one big one ...not enough for tater salad ..and bad head that prevents store runs) ...salad.


All your dinners sound yummy ..even the Fair fare

blueberry sour cream cake sounds so good! I love blueberries. I just put a few pints in the freezer tonight. Would you please post the recipe?

Last night we had frozen pizza (blah blah blah) and chocolate covered strawberries for desert.

Tonight I had leftovers and the hubby had sandwiches. I really wanted to make a chicken pot pie but had too many leftovers in the fridge. Nothing noteworthy but oh well.
 
swampducks, you're holding out on us! I, too, beg you to share the recipe for that heavenly sounding "blueberry sour cream cake".

Tonight's dinner was just grilled herbed chicken with ratatoulle and crusty french bread. It was good but this cooler weather has be dreaming of cassoulet, stews and soups.

I tend to rush seasons.

wrapped a lemon pepper pork loin in foil and tossed it the oven

Then I threw eggplant cut in 1" chunks
diced onions and peppers ,and tomatoes chopped into a casserole dish.Added salt, pepper and Italian seasonings
sprinkled some penko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese on top and baked covered then uncovered and baked some more.
Trying to cut carbs so no bread or pasta or rice...........or potatoes, darn

P.S. the only thing in the veggie dish not from my garden was the onion, I'm so proud.

I have to admit to eating very badly last night! We got off the lake late and stopped at the local "Watering Hole" for a drink. We ended up eating onion rings and cheese sticks! Tonite, my MIL is cooking! So I guess you could say I get 2 days off!
 
Homemade cheese ravioli made with homemade ricotta cheese topped with homemade marinara sauce and homebaked ciabatta bread. I made enough ravioli and sauce to freeze for another meal. A huge grilled anti pasta salad and a nice red wine rounded out the meal.

I think I needed a break from outdoor chores.

I don't find a taste difference myself. DH turned out to be allergic to them but not to chicken eggs.

Home alone tonight, kids are out and DH is working extra, so it was a still warm from the sun garden tomato sliced and layered between 2 slices of homebaked whole wheat bread, garnished with a little mayo, sea salt and fresh ground black pepper. Heaven!
 
I am so in "use up veggies"mode. AH

!! We are having brats, fresh peppers and zucchini on the grill, with a side of... cauliflower/broccoli cream soup. Ahem, PLEASE dont tell my kids whats in the soup :eek:
