Amazondoc- My little Red Mille back there was hatched on Thanksgiving.

Here’s a picture of a pullet that’s coming along fairly good. She’s probably some where around 4-5 months old here.

Also I just hatched these little guys last week. They seem to have a tangerine color with a little silvery gray to them, there different than any others I’ve hatched so far. I think they are most likely from what would be my second generation hen. I guess will have to wait and see what they turn in to.

Well your chicks look more similar to the one I posted earlier. It had all really light buff fuzz. These last chicks seem to have more color on them. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens with them.

my mottleds have given me about three eggs total in the last month!!! I can't wait for them to start laying. My F1s are starting to get pinkish a little around the comb and wattles, but they are still really small (the combs and wattles I mean) and my F1 roos is SO short backed and has the nicest cushion of any of my birds! I can't wait to use him. I was going to use all the pullets on daddy roo, but I am thinking of pulling a couple out just for him, the nicest shaped ones.

Where's Mike when ya need him?? I want him to look at my baby chicks, and we could use him back here in this thread too. Hmph.

Hey all

Hey Doc You look like you are going to have chick #3 of the off color that mine throws once in a blue moon That is to be expected with what was used to get the millie color and maybe even with a sibling cross Their was 3 hens in that pen with my roo for a time So they might be siblings And that could be one of the problems As you know with breeding siblings you can get the best or the worst But the others dont look bad yet Give them some time All of mine start out white and get darker as they age I posted a pic of my last hen awile back and she still had some white on her but now she has got darker and looks better If she will allow it I will get a pic and put it up here for comparison I hatched a chick from another breeder that I think will be what your kids might Will get one of it also Maybe tomorrow From what I have seen the millies get darker as they age so if they are dark now they stand a good chance of being even darker But dont give up yet Give them some time they might surprise you Gotta run Work is calling me

Don't worry, I ain't giving up on anyone. I like cochins in any color, so they will be appreciated no matter what they look like!

Which color do you think will be the odd one? The gray guys, or the ruddy girl?

Hey Doc

I think the darker one will be the odd color The other 2 might not be totally right but better than the 1 I know you wont give up You are to hard headed for that
