I was worried about that, the cigarette had actually been half smoked. Half the tobacco, but all the nasties in the filter.

Just went and sat with them for a few, they seem normal at the moment. I'm not even sure who did what, it happened so quickly. No more cigarettes any where near the girls, that's for sure.

I'm thinking it May give em a terrible headache or crazy vivid dreams (do chickens dream?) if it's just nicotine overload.

**Typically, nicotine poisoning shows up as GI (nausea, vomiting, drooling) or Neuro (dialated pupils, erratic bizarre behavior or seizures) symptoms in four legged fur babies. Don't know about chickens tho
If only 1/2 of one I'd be surprised it's poisoning. It's Good you are watching them for a bit.
It's true that it can be serious - a misplaced nicotine patch + a toddler = hospital. But that's a whole days worth of nicotine so go figure
