As I was walking out of their run, I pulled out a cigarette and one of my girls pulled it out of my hand. Before I could catch them, they had eaten the cigarette and one ate the whole filter. Will this harm them? Is there anything I can do?

Edited: I don't know how auto correct gets "Hickenlooper" out of chicken.

Nicotine can be toxic.....how many birds were involved in the ingestion?

All five were chasing each other while I chased them for it. I don't know how many actually ingested the tobacco. I'm more worried about the girl that ate the filter. Won't it expand and cause impaction or breathing issues?

Make sure she eats some grit.

For what its worth Tobacco is a natural wormer.... Back in the day of non disposable needles.... Yep I am that old... :old we used to crumble up a pack of cigarettes for the horses occasionally.

Yep its toxic and the size ratio .... I would make sure they dont get any more.
