Hickenlooper ate a cigarette!

As I was walking out of their run, I pulled out a cigarette and one of my girls pulled it out of my hand. Before I could catch them, they had eaten the cigarette and one ate the whole filter. Will this harm them? Is there anything I can do?

Edited: I don't know how auto correct gets "Hickenlooper" out of chicken.

All five were chasing each other while I chased them for it. I don't know how many actually ingested the tobacco. I'm more worried about the girl that ate the filter. Won't it expand and cause impaction or breathing issues?

They have grit, whether they eat it I really don't know. But they get a lot of greens so I'm guessing they do.

For what its worth Tobacco is a natural wormer.... Back in the day of non disposable needles.... Yep I am that old... we used to crumble up a pack of cigarettes for the horses occasionally.

Yep its toxic and the size ratio .... I would make sure they dont get any more.

Id be more worried about a filter from a cigarette that had been smoked. Thats got a high concentration of nasties that have been transformed by smoke and fire....
