Her wings caught the air like a parachute, and the dust shot around her, effectively shielding her from view. After fumbling a bit to get her balance, she started away, seeking a river or a bog to burrow under. She flew under the jungle canopy, the birds and monkeys chattering angerly as she passed by.

Confidant that Nidhogg was safely away, he could focus his full attention to the stone army. As more arrows were shot at him, Reaper tucked his wings in close to his body. His scales would deflect most weapons used aginst him. He made a mental note about the gargoyles one weakness. They being made of stone could be crushed and pummeled beyond the point of functionality. So he'd save his acid breath for the soft fleshed humans and fight with his teeth, talons and his battering ram of a tail. The first of many gargoyles came into striking distance and he didn't waste the opportunity. He grabbed up two gargoyles, one in each clawed hand and clashed them together repeatedly until a corse gravel was achieved. He then reached for more before they could get wise to his method of dispatching them so quickly. His tail wiped wildly all around him. Like a bull whip searching for a target. Once acquired, he'd bash it to nothing against tree trunks and fallen stumps. When he was finished with that one, he'd start again with the next one. " You're flimsy relics of a bygone era, you have no power over me!" He shouted passionately in draconic.

Nidhogg could hear her father roaring his fierce battlecry behind her, and the din of battle echoed through the jungle, causing clouds of birds to flee past her. Soon she spotted what she was looking for: a soggy swampy spot, with stale, smelly unmoving water. The mosquitos were thick here, the air thick. The water was only a few feet deep, but the soft muck went down another few feet. She burrowed down into the muck, enjoying the buoyancy. She was completely exhausted from her adventure, and, despite her best efforts, being a wyrmling meant that she fell asleep rather quickly under there, feeling like she was in Earth's warm embrace, wrapped up in a cocoon.

Making big eyes, he stated, "I would like to be in the one you will be in." He grinned mischievously. "I'll adapt to whatever is decided. Do we put a medic with every team? I'll go as a medic. I can carry quite a number off a battlefield, and am quite competent in the healing arts."

Xatia was flattered by his admission. She glanced to him and dipped her head in respect. "That will be efficient and helpful I'm sure. Especially with such closed quarters down there. We're going deep into the heart of a dark mountain, not your typical battlefield for sure. " She replied with camaraderie.

"Tight quarters make battle difficult for larger dragons. Ah, well, the biggest downside to being, well, big," sighed Asclepius. At least being a medic meant his primary function wouldn't be combat.

I'm getting too tired to keep my eyes open long enough to type a reply. Good morning and good night. :frow I'll be back on tomorrow. )

(It can be hard to think up something awesome that isn't so over the top as to be completely rediculous

I can understand that well)
After the strong one that was immune to the acid had ripped it's way out and evaded her grasp, her focus shifted back to bringing the flowers closer to the interlopers with the magical shield. One of the vine heads were sent forward to make a grab at the beast as it padded out of her bed of vines.
When the loud thing left from her airspace, she was a little relieved. There wasn't much she could do to an enemy in the sky if she wasn't willing to fly up there herself; she was a creature of the earth.
Soon, the closest thorny head in the dark started accumulating a mass of the poison spewing flowers. A second head beside it started to accumulate flowers as well. Slygotha had the roots tap into her acid pool as a boost to their mobility and growth. The overgrowth responded with a second wind, a new explosion of growth devouring everything within reach. Using this surge, she sent the flower covered head into the electric netting, causing a cumulative massive detonation in an attempt to punch through the magical shield. The shock wave, although anticipated, still knocked back almost all the twisting vines and burnt the assaulting vine head to cinders along with several yards of vines surrounding. Slygotha grunted. Had it worked?
The explosion knocked several men down, and the closest ones out. Those nets would be useless now, but the anti-magic generator was unharmed. The people scrambled to check on the injured and bring those most injured to the center while one went to the generator and moved the power up a little, making the field move out by five feet in each direction. "Enough, dragon." One man said angrily and pulled out a Thermite grenade and launching it at where he thought the dragon's den was with protests from the woman. That would burn through anything and even burn underwater for a time
(Thermite is pretty cool though)

Zypher smiled in greeting when he saw Jason as he opened the side door of the van. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes. We're traveling in style these days. " He said with humor.

Navar snorted a little at Zypher's choice of words.
~~~
"A win, win for me then. " Xavier said with a slight chuckle. He then held still for Aurora to do her spell. "Now this is pretty cool. Not to mention handy." He replied honestly.
Maxton shook his head at the difference in Xavier's demeanor.
~~~
"Yeah, a perfect distraction for a jailbreak." He said with consideration. He then paused to look at his beloved. "Sorcha, the killing of Dawn has nothing to do with who she was and everything to do with what she meant to the Fae wolf. He seemed quite taken with the girl. Just as I suspect she cared for him, especially since she harbored him to help clear his name. Vatgkan needed someone to blame and the eventual rite fight aginst him, put Jackdaw in Vatgkan's cross hairs." Racine raised his hand to brush her cheeck tenderly with his thumb. "I could never loose you." He murmured softly.
~~~
Avalon watched her curiously, but soon paled by the second as she listened to the fate of Anstropfia and it's inhabitants. If they didn't stop the invading hoard, how long would their world last or Earth or Ettence? The horror of their current reality finally realized completely. "Then there will most definitely be war, for they cannot have our home." Avalon said with all the conviction she had in her being.
"So I see" Jason said with a chuckle, hugging Anna when he reached her. He looked to the blueprints then back to Zypher and the others "I'm assuming that we aren't getting any closer by this way of travel though?" He joked back.
~~~
Aurora nodded "I wanted you to be able to see to climb on my back as a dragon, but not be able to see where we are, this serves both purposes well" She said as she started to lead them to the roof
~~~
Sorcha looked back to Racine, raising a hand to hold his close. That was just sad for them to attack an innocent because of who liked her. "Just as I could not lose you." She replied softly. Part of her mind was going through every spell she knew of to mute someone, even just temporarily and how they could add that to the pendants everyone wore already "First things first, we must account for everyone and warn them" How many other like Dawn would have been harmed without anyone but the one that loved them affected or knowing about it? Would a mirror work against that kind of attack?
~~~
Foneth was silent a moment then looked to her guards then to Ender and Spyro before nodding "This is our home too, even if we have been hidden away in a small corner of it for so long." She looked to her guards again, sending one off to fly home and inform her father that they were needed to stop an invasion before she focused on Avalon once more.

Zypher smiled and said, "Once Fay takes out the warding down there, we'll be able to pop in there in small groups. Once we secure an area large enough, then we can come in full force."
~~~
Once on the roof, Xavier climbed up upon Aurora's back and held on tight. "Ready!" He said with excitement.
Maxton had shifted and waited until Aurora was ready.
~~~
Racine kissed her palm before clasping her hand in his and led her for the stairs. "At this point, I'm willing to throw everything including the kitchen sink at them. We're bound to find something that works. You're on the right track with the muting spell as well. All we can do is try." He said through their bond.
~~~
"That's more then I.... we could ever hope for. Thank you for your forgiveness and assistance on this grave threat." Avalon said as she bowed humbly before Foneth.
Ender looked to Spyro and said privately, " I need to help wake the other Sylphs up. Starting with you, brother. It's unlike anything you can ever imagine." Spyro looked to Ender with uncertainty, but knew he was right.
Jason smiled and nodded "Good plan, hopefully we can get in and out and not have to fight too hard before we blow that place up." No way were they leaving it intact to be used again. A quick battle could also mean less injuries. He glanced to Anna, wanting to keep her safe.
Fay looked to Zypher and the other two alphas and smiled "I am ready to go in when you give the word" She informed softly
Aurora waited for him to get settled after she had taken her dragon form then took off, flying for the forest quickly. Who would have thought she would ever let a wizard ride on her back to battle a demon? Life certainly took some odd turns sometimes. When she saw the vans gathered together, she dropped down to land quickly and quietly near them.
~~~
Sorcha nodded and looked to him as they walked together to the stairs. "All I can think of to stop an attack like this is either muting the one delivering the attack or reflecting it back on them." She said, speaking privately as well. "The ones that can call water may be able to place a barrier up, though that wouldn't last too long...maybe a sound dampening bubble around the caster?" She was running through the possibilities in her mind, uncaring that they were being communicated to him even as she thought of them. "Or a counter-sonic, would they cancel one another out or just explode?" That one might be more dangerous and would need testing on a small scale first.
~~~
Foneth dipped her head then looked over to Ender "They must find their dragon forms and learn our magic and who knows how much time we have. I still would like to learn how you can still shift, being able to get to small spaces would be good." She said, chuckling a little at her thoughts then looking around "Though that may need an empty field so we don't cause damage in the first shift of the sylphs." She looked to Avalon again
Reaper was dodging gargoyles and getting over run with them. He roared his rage as they clung to his body and started prying the scales from his hide. He knew when the last of his breastplate scales was removed, they'd get their killing blow. He did the only thing he could with his arms weighed down with gargoyles, he fell forward with all his weight to the ground. His best attempt at protecting his heart. He was fast losing this battle. But he had a good run at it. His baby girl had got away and she was so clever that they wouldn't be able to find her. Reaper closed his eyes as he was being flayed alive. But just as he was accepting his fate, he heard a different kind of roar from over head. Reaper's eyes shot open in time to see frozen chunks of gargoyle parts litter the ground around him. What is this? An ice dragon? He thought with confusion as the crystalline dragon came into view and landed in front of him. Without missing a beat, he started ripping the gargoyles from his body. He'd then blast then with his ice breath and shatter them with the slightest blow. He tore through them like they were nothing. Reaper was stunned into staring. When the last of the gargoyles was vanquished, the ice dragon stood there and looked down at him mutely. Reaper closed his eyes once again, part in surrender and part too weak to care what was going to happen to him next.
Storm looked down at the once noble back dragon. For he was broken and bleeding out fast. Pure unadulterated anger flooded into Storm at the unfair treatment of his fellow brethren. How could Markus and his serpent do this?! He thought bitterly. Fuled with vengeance, Storm chanted a healing cloud and blew it at the downed dragon.
Reaper heard the soft muttering and braced himself for what he thought was happening, but when all his pain was taken away and his body mended all at once, he gasped in shock. But it was the strength that infused his body that surprised him most. "Why are you helping me?" He asked curiously.
Storm looked around at the stone remains of the destroyed gargoyles. "My father taught me to care. I'm Storm by the way. Markus and Pariah are after your family. They are there as we speak and she's cornered. She cannot sustain the magic she's expelling. It's only a matter of time before they prevail." He replied matter-of-factly.
Reaper reared up at that news. What Nidhogg had said coming into focus. His eyes shot to the direction of his mate, but before he could take to the sky, Storm's cool claw grabbed his shoulder. "Do you want my help?" He asked quietly.
