So I'm at day 18 just locked down the incubator but I'm a little nervous I didn't see as much change in the air cell size between day 14-18 as I would have liked on most of the eggs. Here's some pictures.

Are these air cells big enough? Some of them are decent but others I'm worried about. I have the largest part of the air cell upright so in the pictures you're seeing the widest part of the cell.

Right now between the 3 hygrometers my humidity ranges from 50-54%. Should I leave it there? I'm just not experienced enough to know if these air cells are big enough and what humidity range will allow for them to grow a little without shrink-wrapping the chicks! With 18 eggs still looking good, I'm a little nervous to screw this up!

You may notice the egg in the plastic baggie. When I candled the egg the narrow end lit up. The veins looked different, messy. I wasn't sure what to think. Is the chick just not moved into position? Or could something else be wrong? Not knowing what the issue is , I'm just nervous the egg might explode and make a mess and screw up the hatch. Here's some pictures- any thoughts?

Things actually look good. You may want to raise the humidity to 60 -63. Then it goes up like crazy for a little bit when one pips externally, but it will go back down. Stop turning the eggs upside down.
Stop turning the eggs upside down?

Gotcha! Someone told me not to flip the eggs fat side down when I candle but I can’t see the airsac otherwise so I was starting from the pointed end down and flipping it. This was the only one that lit up like that.

It really shouldn't affect the embryo to rotate the egg (broodies roll them alot!). Lots of people candle that way. I prefer to hold the egg just as it was in the incubator (whether it be upright during incubation or laying down) and move my light around instead of rolling the egg around.
