I was scanning Bidbird today and saw a listing for "grey" silkies.
Cockerel-grey w/red splashes on his wings.
Pullet-grey w/silver frosting.
Hmmm. These birds are obvious self blues and the cockerel looks like an F1 porcelain.
Culls?

A newly registered seller with an Ohio NPIP # listing as gearhartchooks ?

just saw the same listing. I didnt see any miss leading sales pitch to it though. The birds are infact grey silkies, not lavender. Lavenders would be sky blue pale grey, there are several of them listed there to compare to.

They are listed as AOV ( what ever that is) Silkies

Says male is grey with red splashes ( which he is) he has partridge in him

Says female is grey, which she is.

They may have edited it since we both looked at it, but looks to be all correct to me.

Hi I'm Gearhartchooks. This is not a "shady listing" if you don't like the color don't buy it.
The cockeral is NOT an F1 porcelain. The pullet is grey frosted... I know a very reputable silkie breeder, who breeds greys come up with this color. They ARE AOV's... They ARE typey and could possibly be shown as "whatever" AOV is Any Other Variety. You want to slam someone's integrity, send them an email first before posting on a public forum which They've been a member of for over 2 years
