No guesses on gender. Not worried about it at this point.

Two are pretty small, like bantam size compared to the others. I'll probably sell those early. Out of the seventeen I'm hoping to end up with at least a nice trio to move forward.

I'm glad to hear someone else has chicks that are smaller than others. I currently have 8 that are 5-6 weeks old, and - like you - I have one that is MUCH smaller than the others. I kept thinking maybe it was just a failure to thrive chick, and I kept expecting to find it dead every morning. But it is just as active as the others, and I guess just a SUPER slow grower... Very weird.
