How about forming a nationwide Organization

I just found out the city of Fountain, CO doesn't allow chickens. This is a rural little town with lots of horses, etc...

But if you don't have 1 acre of land, you can't have a chicken. You can have 6 FREAKING DOGS, but no chickens.

The man who told me this overheard me talking to someone about my duck eggs. I, of course, told him about BYC and suggested him and his wife see if the rules said anything about ducks or quail

Hey BYC Members.

Let's get organized! I can advertise this on my nationally broadcast radio show "Backyard Poultry with the Chicken Whisperer". I have many media connections, and can help get the word out!

Chicken Whisperer

I'm totally in! We can start a PAC (poultry action committee). With enough popular support, we could field our own presidential canidate!!! But seriously, We seem to have in this forum paralegals, perhaps even lawyers, politicians, lots of smart people, and of course, media saavy folks. We may need individuals to step up to the plate and field positions, create structure and an agenda. I can't think of a better rallying point than the situation in Roswell, GA. It's about a four hour drive for me, but I will attend the next hearing in May! BTW, I am a territory manager for an HVAC wholesaler, vocationally not too much help here... but I do enjoy stirring things up for causes I believe in. I've started a cause on Facebook: C.L.U.C.K. - Campaign for Legalization of Urban Chicken Keeping, with a whopping eight members!
