I have four BO chicks that are 11 weeks old and 6 production reds that are 5-7 weeks old and the buff orpingtons chase them and peck them. What can i do:(

A red lamp is supposed to help. For one of our groups of chicks I hung dark pink curtains in the room and that seemed to help, they were all from the same batch, though, the same age... With other animals more space and distractions often help, hang up something for them to peck at (a cabbage??), sprinkle scratch on the ground for them to peck at and tell them to "Knock it off!"

I too have chicks of different ages. It's best to let them interact step by step, I have two different brooders a to put each pair while I'm not supervising. When they peck, I just gently correct them:) hope this helped, and good luck!

At the age of 11 weeks they should be outside already and have plenty of room to run and at that age them chicks can be aggressive towards each other and it is totally normal but the more room you have the better ....
