Last summer she went broody 3-4 separate times and then went into molt, so yeah, I don't get many eggs from her.
Yeah the minimum is 6 chicks. But I just looked up the law and it' s 24 ducklings if under 2 months of age Prior to May 1st! They're clearly trying to discourage people buying them for Easter, which I wholeheartedly agree with. A road trip with lots of ducklings sounds like it would be memorable!
This is what I do. That's why I've been trying to find photos of Welsh Harlequins that came specifically from TSC. So I can recognize them if I ever see them. Doing an image search on the internet brings up very different WH ducklings, depending on who hatched them.

Then eat or sell the drakes. Last year I was lucky, and I had enough drake buyers, that I didn't have to eat any of my males myself.
