Okay thank you very much!!!

I really think the permethrin will help. It should start killing, whatever pest is alive, instantly right?

Does ivermectin injectable really help deter/treat mites and lice?

I haven't used ivermectin. Crazy Maizies post below is accurate for what I have read many times so I would trust it.

Egg withdrawal time I don't recall how long but know you are not supposed to eat their eggs for a while.....I recall it being longer than 2 weeks though.
Ivermectin can be used to treat the chickens, but you have an egg withdrawal period. You still would re-treat in 7-10 days. I'm not sure about how to use the injectable version though. The permethrin mentioned above treats both hens and coop.

Oh yes, I haven’t been eating any of my girls’ eggs for a few weeks. Wanted to make sure that the ivermectin had been fully expelled from my hens.

I understand about ivermectin, however, I just want to be sure that I can definitely get rid of the mites/lice that have been causing a problem. So, I will get some permethrin as soon as I can!

Permethrin doesn’t have an egg withdrawal time, since it is a topical spray, and not something that the chicken ingests right?

Correct. There is no egg withdrawal for permetherin.

Yes if treated every 7 days including the coop the bugs should be all gone.

where do I get injectable invermectine? One of mine just died from, I believe mites, her skin was red, all of the sudden she went downhill fast. I had treated with enviromentally frendly, then with poutltry dust, it was too late.

Are you in the US?
Tractor Supply

They also carry permethrin that can be used to kill the mites in your coop...as well as on your birds. You really need to treat everything at once.
