How Did You Discover BYC?

Well, let's see. . . back in Feb of '06 I got a bunch of chicks and the necessary supplies to keep them from our local feed store. I kept them in the house for 3 months because the weather was horrendous that year!!! During that time I poked around on the internet and decided that BYC was the best site out there for chicken info, so I snooped around on the site and got some ideas to build my coop, etc. At that time I didn't even realize that there was a forum - well, actually, to be honest, I didn't know what a forum was!!! Duh!!! So, anyway, last April I ventured into the forum and found a gold mine!!!! Yep, that's my amazing story!!

I remember now. I googled "chickens" or something like that, found feathersite.com LOVE THAT SITE! And I stumbled upon a link to this chicken website. Found a forum, (we were new then) and got hooked! I LOVE BYC!

for ideas on building a chicken coop....WOW! I was hooked!

Discovered Ebay and fertilized eggs

Made my own incubator (thanks to MissPrissy)

which brings me to Day 2 with my fertilized eggs....I'm sure there will be more to follow.....keep posted

I found out about from a fifth grader at the school I work in.... Now how cool is that!!!

I searched "chickens" and found the Ezboard BYC. I lurked there for a long time before joining. I enjoyed it, and when the forum was being transitioned to Yuku, I joined that one. Then the board got some funds together and stayed independent for awhile longer. During that time, Rob flew into the coop and rescued us from Yuku land with this new BYC. (Which is really the old BYC started by Garm).
Ezboard BYC has transfered to Yuku now, and I haven't been over there in a long time, now. I have friends here, some from long ago and some new ones.
