How high can quail jump??

Unclipped, I had a quail fly across my yard and land on my roof. I had another go from the ground straight up over a 10' sound wall.

One of mine one time flew the length four houses. We got her back luckily because she flew down the road and we could see where she went.

Mine haven’t flown much but they can run quit fast if they are not very friendly you may need a net to catch them.

I think I might not be understanding what you are doing, are you free ranging them? Or making a run for them?

I'm making a fenced in area like a run for them, because I know you can't free range with quail lol

I'm planning on taming them as best I can, but if they turn out to be less friendly than i'd hoped, I'll make sure to remember that they run fast. Thank you!
