How many birds are in your current flock?

But 99% are bantams, and over half are seramas, so we have to factor size in, right?!?

Yes, but I think you still need to recognize that the first step to solving a problem is recognizing there is one... ;)... but there is help:

And of course, I'm just joking... I have too many myself right now.

Thats what I get worried about. I make my partner stand with me when I let my chicks out. We are about to hit spring too mating season. So all the wildlife is out and about. I haven't been swooped by a magpie yet but I feel its coming.
I know, those birds have some nerve! I never would have done it if I thought there was any chance of one of my chicks getting hurt:(

Oh well thank you. :) It never occurred to me that our journey was anything special. Lol

What part of the journey would you like to read about?

I would love to read about the animals you have, the predators you have to prevent, the things you face with your farm life and how you over come them. New babies. Things like that. Think its very interesting.[/QUOTE]

Well thank you I'll have to keep that in mind. :)

My advice is just read as much as you can about chicks before you get them. I didnt and I lost 2 and had to cull one. When I bought them they had this yolk infection that I had no idea about. It was heart breaking and now im turned off the idea of chicks again.

I followed and posted on that thread. There's really not much you could have done and that was a horrible first experience but I urge you to try again with chicks from a more reputable source.

I have over 100

but probably less that 150 :gig

LOL that's about how I count my birds! :)
