How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I gave my broody BO ten eggs to hatch.

I must be nuts. Starting to hate "chicken math".

I've gone 0/6 for 7 days now...
2 are too young to lay,
3 I'm guessing must be older
But the one that's been consistant every 3 days seems to have stopped now.
I think I might get rid of 4 birds if production has stopped.

9 eggs today. I've been averaging 8 per day. (that is out of 17 hens) Almost all of my spring chicks are laying a lot. I assume they don't need to molt this winter since their feathers are new! The broody hen molted while she was raising her chicks, so she is back to laying now. The rest of them are molting and have stopped laying completely or have slowed down considerably. I also have one pullet who has not laid yet and I think she 8 months old already.

It was cold here today in the low 90's almost thought about putting on long pants but it is only October not December ......

Today we got 2 full size brown
1 cream bantam
1little brown newbie (still waiting on 2nd one)

and a tiny white!!! New one. Is Sassy the Oegb finally laying or is it a Leghorn perhaps? New mystery for us.

Still in the low 90's with some wind kicking up from time to time but the lady's are doing a fine job as one has chicks and two are making a nest under the shed where I cant get to them .......

12 eggs to day from the 17 girls.

We only found 3 yesterday. We let the chickens out to free range pretty early in the day. At one point they were in the barn messing around on the hay. I'm pretty sure a couple of them laid on top of the hay and the eggs were lost between bales.
