How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

It was the rooster with the frozen comb that I was asking about..(I didn't realize you had one with wry neck)
I'm really glad that he made it through that and that he's doing a lot better! That's awesome!!

I had a Silkie X develop wry neck. I could keep it under control with the one type of poultry vitamins that I had...but as soon as he was with the rest he would start to relapse with the neck. I did the same as you.
I consider his siblings are on probation. I suspect it will not be the last I see of it in that line. I hope I'm wrong..lol.

Here is a picture of him from today. You can see that his wattles are fine now, but he has lost almost all of his spikes and I expect the rest of them to fall off in the next day or so.

only 5/14 so far this morning but hoping for more through the day ok 1pm and now have 9/14 still hoping for more

Ten cents a piece for new bloodlines to outcross...that's amazing! Most of my EE roosters have the dark legs; mostly green, one is blue. I have one purchased chick and some I've raised from my own pair (green legs) that ended up with the yellow legs. Not sure what they produce yet.

I'm only familiar with frost damage in bulls/rams etc because is affects the sperm physically; both in the motility and in actual damage to the sperm. I got to see the affects last year when we semen tested.

All our bulls passed and because of the non-severity of damage the vet assured us they'd be fine with time. (8 & 9 yrs old)

But roosters are, um, different in physical makeup. I'm curious to know this as well!

Your guy looks much better than I was imagining. He's a trooper!
Still unfortunate it had to happen...but he's been well taken care of to look so good!
