Mine lived alone after retiring from the Army. So he can do it all, including using a sewing machine better than me. He's a neat freak and I'm not. So he usually ends up doing stuff before it even occurs to me that it needs doing. He gets extra hugs and such.
Men would do more housecleaning if they knew how attractive it makes them...

He does most of the yardwork, I do flowers and ornamentals.
He expects extra praise when he helps with 'my' chickens
DH CANNOT sew. He makes a pile of clothes that need fixin' whether it is simple like a button needs to be sewn on or patching a big hole in his jeans. I gave my sewing machine back to my mom (she gave to me a few years ago, but she needs to use it again), so DH said he will get me a sewing machine for christmas.
Of course, he has already commissioned his mom for help on that one since he hasn't a clue what to look for.
The yard work vs chickens sounds like us! He does the yard, garden, etc. and I do the chicken (but we built the coop together since that is a two-person minimum job). The other day I had school late and when he put the chickens away, he didn't count them. One of our rooster slept outside.
He's the wimpy roo too. Luckily our property is fully fenced and we don't have many of the predators that people have issues with (weasels, raccoons, etc).
