How much do you sell braided rag rugs for?

I'm about to start my first rag rug, so wish me luck! I'm not doing braided, I'm doing "toothbrush rugs" b/c I hate sewing, LOL! These look easier to do.

I sent off for the kit & just waiting for it to get here.

I've been making braided rag rugs. First one was a flop (had to work out kinks and rug is cuppy), second was an Xmas present to my brother and sister-in-law. I'm working on a black-and-orange one now, lots of bikers in our area. How much do you should a rug sell for? Granted, our region has the highest regional unemployment in the country (22%), so it would sell for below retail value.


I already had cloth and thread. It will be approx. 3' x 5' when finished. I'm about 1/4 done and have put in about 5 hours so far.


What do you think would be a fair price for it?

I would take 3 times 5, then times 2, then times $1.00. Not sure on multiplication but u want $1.00/inch. I make loom rag rugs and hand crocheted rugs. That is usual price
