how much should they eat? (and poo)

Should I be restricting the amount of chick crumb I give them? They're eating a small ramekin full every day - and its getting empty earlier every day. they're three weeks old and there's two chicks. I've offered corn and they don;t seem to know what to do with it. They also pooing vast amounts - it can be quite runy - is this normal? Help please new to chick rearing. Thanks.

Congrats on your new chicks, IMO you should have food available to your new babies at all times. The poo thing sound totally normal too...check out this site....

I'm actually a teensy bit curious about how much they normally poop.

They have been eating almost non-stop since I got home and it doesn't seem like mine are pooping much. They have nice clean butts though!

They definitely poop a lot. I change our brooder litter every 2-3 days so far. It's fine with me, more for the compost pile.
